NOTE: Dental Clerk is my A-Level computing assignment and is designed only for the use of IASmith and his Dental Surgery. It is not for commercial sale.

Dental Clerk is a computer program written in Visual Basic. The purpose of Dental Clerk is to make issuing dental laboratory treatments easier. Below is a list of details and features:

Dentists will know that any treatment they prescribe that require work from a laboratory can be a pain to track. Several treatments can be sent at one time, each at a different stage. Dental Clerk keeps track of all the information you enter and lets you view all the past treatments for each patient, when a job has been completed.

In essence Dental Clerk is simply an Microsoft Access database. However, the features offered by Access and Visual Basic allow great flexibility to the design of the program. I have been able to develop an attractive program which is very intuitive and requires limited computer knowledge. By making buttons that look and behave as Internet hyperlinks, using Dental Clerk is no harder than using this web site.

Dental Clerk uses the flexibility of Crystal Reports to display and print laboratory treatment forms showing all the information required.

Dental Clerk allows pictures of patients to be inserted into the database and an advanced search feature allows you to find patient records quickly.
